Sara Bowen is an artist and educator based on the north coast of New South Wales, with a creative practice that spans printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpture and installation.  Sara has collaborated in a number of cross-disciplinary projects with other people, including setting up the international artists book collective, BookArtObject, in 2009.

Her creative practice is rooted in printmaking, using intaglio and relief printmaking techniques, drawing, painting, cutting and engraving on paper, wood and slate to explore ambiguous meanings and how memories change over time. 

Sara’s work is held in a number of state and private collections in Australia and overseas.
